Size, we’re constantly being told, matters. Whether it’s your car’s engine, your processor speed, or how small your mobile phone is, what you own and how big (or small) it is is a matter of some importance.
And though this projector from InFocus doesn’t have the sex-appeal of a 6.0-litre V12-engined Ferrari Enzo, or the social kudos of owning a mobile phone so small you can put it in your pocket and hardly know it’s there, it is the smallest projector we’ve ever seen and that counts for something, especially in the normally staid world of business technology.

Standing up in front of other people and presenting, whatever the subject matter, can be nerve-wracking. Not many people enjoy the experience, which is of course why software like PowerPoint first came into being – to give presenters a security blanket and audiences something other to look at than the presenter’s rogue nasal hair. |

While touring the TI booth and checking out the upcoming line of 1080p DLP-based HDTVs, we came across this little gem being developed by Mitsubishi.
This miniscule projector uses an SVGA (800x600) DLP chip, and uses LumiLEDs super-bright LEDs for the projection lamp. It's even battery powered, using a rechargeable battery pack that latches onto the bottom of the projector.

InFocus has been manufacturing projectors for a very long time. In fact, many of the projectors that you see from other manufacturers are often re-badged InFocus models. Although InFocus does produce some very good home cinema based projectors, its main market data projectors. Data projectors are generally split into two categories, fixed and portable. Fixed projectors tend to find themselves mounted to ceilings in board rooms, while portable projectors are used as tools for mobile workers that need to give presentations to clients.
